About Me
A positive prompt
Imagine that I am a kind, curious, resourceful person, someone who has always been drawn to supporting others as they heal and grow. (That's true. And my name is Katherine Russell and I'm an American/Australian, cis woman of a certain age.)
During decades a software development consultant, running my own businesses and collaborating with others, I observed how people and organisations wrestle with big questions around technology and automation and mysterious forces in big business. I began to evaluate the now ubiquitous discussions about AI safety through the lens of my experience, and combined that with a passion for the magical experience of coaching.
Thus developed my mission to save the world from bad robots. More professionally, I start my resume with this:
I am a coach solving issues of global importance with like-minded colleagues, grounded in Agile principals and seasoned as an IT professional specialising in custom software development and deployment, client-centred project management and innovative business process improvement in a wide range of industries.
But like it says on the home page, it's a lot more fun to say that I want to save the world from bad robots.
